Mark Works Extra Shifts to Help Kids

At JamQuest, we believe that it doesn’t take something extraordinary to change the world. You don’t to be famous or rich to make a difference. You don’t to throw a huge event or raise millions of dollars. You can change someone’s life by deciding to use your everyday opportunities. Mark Llorens is an amazing example of that. He picked up extra
shifts at work to save money to send kids his age to school in Kenya. Sacrificing his own time and money to helpimage others…inspiring! Check out what he said…

“I can’t think of a better way to raise to money! The World Changer 365 is such an incredible privilege and opportunity to be able to be a part of someone’s life and help a fellow man in need across the planet.

I have found that raising money is not that difficult if you have the heart to serve. Yes, it is a commitment to raise $365, but it was manageable. I was working part time at the time and decided to use my job as an opportunity to raise the money for my WC365. I usually worked 3-4 times a week for 5-7 hour shifts.  What I came up with was to commit picking up shifts weekly and working 2-4 hours overtime every shift, and to donate the money I earned from that.

At times, I got tired and frustrated with this goal, but what kept me going was remembering that it’s not about me. Why would I complain when there are others who are suffering. I get to be a part of an organization that can change someone’s life. Soon enough within a few months I reached $365. It is an absolute honor to be apart of the JQ World Changer 365. Go out and change the world. The world needs you!!!!”
